They are drawn up by the Committee for Hazardous Substances (AGS) and published by the Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS). The Hazardous Substances Ordinance can also be consulted.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Meaning Technical rules for hazardous substances<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technical rules for hazardous substances<\/strong> are always of particular importance when working with harmful or hazardous substances.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conjunction with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gsa-messgeraete.de\/en\/the-important-pillars-of-occupational-health-and-safety\/\">Hazardous Substances Ordinance<\/a><\/strong>, they are an important part of occupational health and safety. It used to be known as the<strong> &#8220;maximum workplace concentration&#8221;<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In it the<strong> <\/strong>The highest permissible concentration of a (harmful) substance at the workplace. Compliance with the <strong>occupational limit value<\/strong> is intended to protect employees from permanent exposure to harmful substances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Calculating the concentration of pollutants at the workplace<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The duration of exposure is relevant for determining the <strong>exposure to pollutants at the workplace<\/strong>. The average concentration during a working day (8h for five days\/week) is determined.<br>The molar volume 24.1 l required for the calculation is specified using standardized parameters: Temperature 20\u00b0Celsius and 101.3 kPa. The following formula for <strong>calculating the substance concentration<\/strong> is derived from this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>            <strong>C (ml\/m\u00b3) = molar volume in L \u00f7 molar mass in g \u00d7 C (mg\/m\u00b3)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of these defined <strong>conditions<\/strong>, the <strong>measurements of harmful substances<\/strong> are <strong>comparable and meaningful<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The general dust limit value (ASGW)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another <strong>important component <\/strong>of the <strong>TRSG 900 <\/strong>is the <strong>general dust limit value (ASGW)<\/strong>, which provides information on <strong>dust exposure at the workplace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If <strong>contact with dust<\/strong> occurs during <strong>work processes<\/strong>, specific measures must be observed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also important to distinguish <strong>between A-dust and E-dust<\/strong>. Information on the distinction can be found here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This limit value is also based on an exposure duration of 8 hours over 5 days per week. The <strong>current dust limit value<\/strong> is <strong>1.25 mg\/m\u00b3<\/strong> for <strong>A-dust <\/strong>and <strong>10 mg\/m\u00b3 for E-dust<\/strong>.<br>Checking compliance with these values is part of the occupational health and safety organization.
