El t\u00e9rmino griego \u00abnanos\u00bb significa <em>enano<\/em> y visualiza la dimensi\u00f3n del tama\u00f1o.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A modo de comparaci\u00f3n<\/strong>: un cabello humano mide 80.000 nan\u00f3metros de ancho.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reglamento REACH<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pueden producirse mediante diversos m\u00e9todos<\/strong>, por ejemplo, por <strong>impacto l\u00e1ser<\/strong> o por <strong>procesos de conminuci\u00f3n<\/strong>. <br>Las aplicaciones potenciales de estas part\u00edculas son numerosas y variadas y a\u00fan no se han investigado a fondo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La abreviatura <strong>REACH<\/strong> significa <em><strong>Reglamento<\/strong> relativo al registro, la <strong>evaluaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, la <strong>autorizaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y la restricci\u00f3n de las <strong>sustancias y preparados qu\u00edmicos<\/strong><\/em>, y se basa en el supuesto de que quienes <strong>ponen en circulaci\u00f3n sustancias qu\u00edmicas<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n son <strong>responsables <\/strong>de ellas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En consecuencia, el <strong>reglamento REACH <\/strong>es una de las <strong>leyes qu\u00edmicas m\u00e1s estrictas<\/strong>. Est\u00e1 en vigor desde 2007 y su objetivo es garantizar un<strong> alto nivel de protecci\u00f3n de las personas y el medio ambiente<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Seg\u00fan <strong>el principio rector de \u00ab<em>sin datos no hay mercado\u00bb<\/em>, los fabricantes e importadores est\u00e1n obligados a<\/strong> <strong>incluir<\/strong> <strong>informaci\u00f3n de seguridad con sus productos qu\u00edmicos<\/strong>. Sin esta informaci\u00f3n, dichos productos no pueden comercializarse. Un ejemplo cl\u00e1sico de la aplicaci\u00f3n de esta ley es la <strong><em>ficha de datos de seguridad<\/em><\/strong> que acompa\u00f1a al producto qu\u00edmico y contiene informaci\u00f3n sobre la <strong>sustancia<\/strong> en cuesti\u00f3n y su <strong>potencial de peligro<\/strong>, as\u00ed como una lista de las frases de riesgo y seguridad (en forma de abreviaturas) y los pictogramas correspondientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Peligros de las nanopart\u00edculas para la salud  <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El peligro que suponen las nanopart\u00edculas no puede describirse en t\u00e9rminos generales. Varios factores son <strong>relevantes para la decisi\u00f3n<\/strong>: \u00bfSon <strong>part\u00edculas libres o ligadas<\/strong>? \u00bfExisten <strong>riesgos espec\u00edficos de la sustancia <\/strong>(cancer\u00edgenos o similares)? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Debido a su <strong>tama\u00f1o muy peque\u00f1o<\/strong>, estas part\u00edculas podr\u00edan introducirse en el aire ambiente y entrar en <strong>los pulmones<\/strong> a trav\u00e9s de las <strong>v\u00edas respiratorias<\/strong>. Es posible que penetren en los alv\u00e9olos (alv\u00e9olos pulmonares) y causen irritaci\u00f3n o inflamaci\u00f3n. En muchos casos, a\u00fan no se conocen los efectos de la exposici\u00f3n a largo plazo. Adem\u00e1s, no se ha aclarado de forma concluyente si estas part\u00edculas se depositan en el organismo y c\u00f3mo, ni <strong>qu\u00e9 reacciones<\/strong> pueden <strong>desencadenar<\/strong>.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Estado del debate &#8211; conceptos para su inclusi\u00f3n en el Reglamento REACH<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>La nanotecnolog\u00eda<\/strong> se encuentra todav\u00eda al principio de su desarrollo. Sin embargo, ya es importante considerar hasta qu\u00e9 punto deben adaptarse los conceptos de seguridad para la manipulaci\u00f3n de nanopart\u00edculas. Sin embargo, es indiscutible que deben tomarse <strong>medidas de protecci\u00f3n para los trabajadores cuando manipulen nanopart\u00edculas<\/strong>.
