Las velas son especialmente populares en v\u00edsperas de Navidad.  <\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>Es poco conocido que los <strong>residuos<\/strong> producidos por la <strong>combusti\u00f3n<\/strong> ya pueden suponer un riesgo para la salud de las personas con enfermedades o v\u00edas respiratorias sensibles.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S\u00f3lo en <strong>la zona de trabajo <\/strong>-con contacto diario prolongado o regular con polvo fino (polvo A) &#8211; se utilizan <strong>dispositivos de muestreo<\/strong> especiales, como el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsa-messgeraete.de\/Dispositivo-de-muestreo-SG10-2A-con-cargador\">SG10-2A<\/a>, para medir la presencia y las concentraciones de polvo (fino) nocivo para la salud humana.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa polvo fino?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Part\u00edculas finas<\/strong> es el t\u00e9rmino anticuado, pero todav\u00eda de uso com\u00fan, para referirse <strong>al polvo respirable (polvo A<\/strong>). Esto significa que las part\u00edculas s\u00f3lidas finamente dispersas en el aire pueden penetrar en los alv\u00e9olos (sacos a\u00e9reos).   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ejemplos<\/strong> cl\u00e1sicos de <strong>polvo de <\/strong> <strong>fracci\u00f3n<\/strong> <strong>A son el polvo de carb\u00f3n (C) <\/strong>y el <strong>di\u00f3xido de titanio (TiO<sub>2<\/sub>)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No es posible especificar el tama\u00f1o exacto de las part\u00edculas; el di\u00e1metro aerodin\u00e1mico se utiliza como par\u00e1metro auxiliar. El di\u00e1metro describe el <strong>tama\u00f1o de las part\u00edculas con un m\u00e1ximo de 10\u00b5m<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Exposici\u00f3n a polvo fino (fracci\u00f3n de polvo A)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Debido al peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o de las part\u00edculas, el polvo A (polvo fino) puede penetrar <strong>profundamente en los alv\u00e9olos<\/strong>. Los alv\u00e9olos pulmonares, tambi\u00e9n conocidos como alv\u00e9olos, garantizan que pueda tener lugar el intercambio gaseoso entre el aire que respiramos y la sangre. El di\u00f3xido de carbono sale de la sangre y se intercambia por ox\u00edgeno, que es transportado por los gl\u00f3bulos rojos. Si este proceso se interrumpe, pueden producirse <strong>dificultades respiratorias<\/strong> y un <strong>d\u00e9ficit de ox\u00edgeno<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como ya se ha dicho, las <strong>part\u00edculas de polvo<\/strong> pueden penetrar en los alv\u00e9olos, lo que ocurre (en parte) de forma inadvertida. All\u00ed causan <strong>irritaci\u00f3n del tejido pulmonar<\/strong>, que puede provocar cicatrices y un deterioro permanente de la funci\u00f3n pulmonar con una exposici\u00f3n prolongada. Por esta raz\u00f3n, se aplican varias <strong>disposiciones legales<\/strong> cuando hay contacto con <strong>polvo fino en el \u00e1rea de trabajo<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las <strong>medidas de seguridad<\/strong> pertinentes se documentan en la <strong>evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos<\/strong> y el <strong>valor l\u00edmite en el lugar de trabajo regula <\/strong>la<strong> exposici\u00f3n permitida<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En los <strong>hogares<\/strong>, estas normas no son tangibles y a menudo <strong>el peligro del polvo A<\/strong> no se reconoce como tal. \u00bfY qui\u00e9n asume autom\u00e1ticamente que una <strong>vela encendida<\/strong> causa <strong>contaminaci\u00f3n por polvo fino<\/strong>? El proceso de combusti\u00f3n consume ox\u00edgeno y <strong>libera part\u00edculas<\/strong> muy finas <strong>(holl\u00edn)<\/strong>. <strong>Las velas de parafina, en<\/strong> particular, tienden a producir holl\u00edn. Otros factores, como <strong>las corrientes de aire<\/strong> o una mecha demasiado larga, tambi\u00e9n favorecen la formaci\u00f3n de holl\u00edn.
