Le terme grec \u00ab\u00a0nanos\u00a0\u00bb signifie <em>nain<\/em> et illustre la dimension de la taille.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c0 titre de comparaison<\/strong>, la largeur d&rsquo;un cheveu humain est de 80 000 nanom\u00e8tres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>R\u00e8glement REACH<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elles peuvent \u00eatre produites par diff\u00e9rents proc\u00e9d\u00e9s<\/strong>, comme l&rsquo;<strong>exposition au laser<\/strong> ou les <strong>processus de broyage<\/strong>. <br>Les applications de ces particules sont aussi nombreuses que vari\u00e9es et sont loin d&rsquo;\u00eatre totalement explor\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REACH<\/strong> est l&rsquo;acronyme de <em><strong>Regulation <\/strong>concerning the Registration, <strong>Evaluation<\/strong>, <strong>Authorisation <\/strong>and Restriction of <strong>CHemicals <\/strong>(<strong>r\u00e8glement <\/strong>concernant l&rsquo;enregistrement, <strong>l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation<\/strong>, l <strong>&lsquo;autorisation<\/strong>et la restriction des <strong>substances chimiques<\/strong><\/em>) et repose sur l&rsquo;hypoth\u00e8se que celui qui met <strong>en circulation des substances chimiques<\/strong> &#8211; en assume \u00e9galement la <strong>responsabilit\u00e9<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le <strong>r\u00e8glement REACH <\/strong>est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&rsquo;une des <strong>l\u00e9gislations les plus strictes en mati\u00e8re de produits chimiques<\/strong>. Elle est en vigueur depuis 2007 et vise \u00e0 garantir un<strong> potentiel de protection \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour les personnes et l&rsquo;environnement<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Selon le <strong>principe \u00ab\u00a0<em>no data &#8211; no market\u00a0\u00bb <\/em>, les fabricants et les importateurs sont oblig\u00e9s de<\/strong> <strong>joindre<\/strong> <strong>des informations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 leurs produits chimiques<\/strong>. Sans ces informations, aucun produit de ce type ne peut \u00eatre mis sur le march\u00e9. L&rsquo;exemple classique de l&rsquo;application de cette loi est la fiche de donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. <strong><em>Fiche de donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, <\/em><\/strong>elle contient des informations sur la <strong>substance<\/strong> concern\u00e9e et son <strong>danger potentiel<\/strong>, ainsi que les phrases de risque et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 (sous forme d&rsquo;abr\u00e9viation) et les pictogrammes correspondants.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Les dangers des nanoparticules pour la sant\u00e9 <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Il n&rsquo;est pas possible de d\u00e9crire de mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale le danger que repr\u00e9sentent les nanoparticules. Plusieurs facteurs <strong>sont importants pour la d\u00e9cision<\/strong>: S&rsquo;agit-il de <strong>particules libres ou de particules li\u00e9es<\/strong>? Y a-t-il <strong>des risques sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la substance <\/strong>(canc\u00e9rig\u00e8ne ou autre)? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>En raison de leur <strong>tr\u00e8s petite taille<\/strong>, ces particules pourraient s&rsquo;infiltrer dans l&rsquo;air ambiant et <strong>atteindre les poumons par les voies respiratoires<\/strong>. Il est possible qu&rsquo;elles atteignent les alv\u00e9oles pulmonaires et provoquent une irritation ou une inflammation. Dans de nombreux cas, les effets d&rsquo;une exposition \u00e0 long terme ne sont pas encore connus. On ne sait pas non plus si et comment ces particules s&rsquo;accumulent dans l&rsquo;organisme et <strong>quelles r\u00e9actions elles peuvent d\u00e9clencher<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Etat du d\u00e9bat &#8211; Concepts d&rsquo;inclusion dans le r\u00e8glement REACH<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les <strong>nanotechnologies<\/strong> n&rsquo;en sont qu&rsquo;\u00e0 leurs d\u00e9buts. Il convient n\u00e9anmoins de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir d\u00e8s \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 la mesure dans laquelle les concepts de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 doivent \u00eatre adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la manipulation des nanoparticules. Il est cependant ind\u00e9niable que <strong>des mesures de protection doivent \u00eatre prises pour les travailleurs qui manipulent des nanoparticules<\/strong>. C&rsquo;est donc \u00e0 juste titre que l&rsquo;on discute de la mani\u00e8re dont <strong>les nanoparticules doivent \u00eatre incluses dans le r\u00e8glement REACH<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Aucune valeur limite d&rsquo;exposition professionnelle n&rsquo;est actuellement d\u00e9finie.<\/strong> Le sujet est toutefois tr\u00e8s actuel dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 au travail et des r\u00e9flexions sur les mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sont en cours d&rsquo;\u00e9laboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Comme <strong>de nombreuses nanoparticules pr\u00e9sentent un potentiel de risque similaire \u00e0 celui des poussi\u00e8res A (poussi\u00e8res fines)<\/strong>, il est possible d&rsquo;en d\u00e9duire certaines mesures de protection.
