Presentation of the GSA Ratingen

Who is the GSA Ratingen?

GSA Schadstoffanalytik mbH is a long-standing partner of the GSA Messgerätebau GmbH which specializes in pollutant analysis.
The close cooperation is not only reflected in the physical proximity, but also in the complementary working skills.

What are the tasks of the GSA?

The main task of the GSA Gesellschaft für Schadstoffanalytik mbH is to analyze the pollutants in samples taken by our own measurement technicians, for example. However, samples taken elsewhere can also be submitted for analysis.

Various methods are used to determine the substance and the quantity. For example, dusts, fibers or cooling lubricants can be measured and assessed indoors, at the workplace or in the outside air. Customers also receive comprehensive advice on relevant pollutants.

Which measurements of harmful substances can be analyzed?

Various substances can be measured and analyzed, here is a small selection of the services offered:

  • Dust fraction respirable dust
  • Dust fraction inhalable dust
  • silicogenic dusts
  • Talcum powder
  • Chromium (VI) compounds
  • Asbestos fibers
  • Artificial mineral fibers (AMF)
  • Organic and inorganic fibers
  • Cooling lubricants
  • Formaldehyde and other aldehydes

How does an analysis work?

The first step is a consultation with our employees. Questions about the measurement are clarified there. Which substance should be measured? In what environment will the measurement be taken, at the workplace or outside? Over what period of time does the measurement make the most sense? All these points then lead to a measurement strategy that not only includes the appropriate measuring devices, but also the corresponding analysis method.
