Measure asbestos fibers with SG12

Asbestos fibres wall

Measure asbestos fibers with measuring device SG12 to determine health hazards

The measuring device SG12, specially developed for asbestos measurement, can be used to precisely measure even very low concentrations of asbestos fibers. It is suitable for sampling inorganic fibrous particles in accordance with VDI 3492 and ISO 14966 as well as asbestos or AMF. It can also be used to measure the various dust fractions such as A-dust or E-dust.

An analysis of asbestos is then carried out to determine the concentration of this hazardous material in the building.

If it is suspected that material containing asbestos was used in the construction of buildings, a measurement is advisable.

The GSA Messgerätebau GmbH manufactures its own suitable measuring devices for measuring hazardous substances. In addition, every asbestos hazard situation is unique. For this reason, we are happy to develop a suitable measurement strategy for sampling asbestos for you.

Diesel engine emissions – What do doctors say?

diesel engine emissions

What are diesel engine emissions?

Diesel engine emissions are the exhaust gases produced by a diesel engine during operation. This is a mixture of substances of varying composition. However, there are substances that are always contained in diesel engine emissions, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and diesel soot. The proportions of the respective substances vary depending on the type of engine.

Testing mold infestation

Testing mould infestation

Testing for mold infestation is often a necessity

In order to obtain clarity about a mold infestation situation, a precise analysis of the mold infestation should be carried out. In addition to self-testing, a professional analysis after testing can provide precise results that often initiate further important measures. GSA Schadstoffanalytik carries out this precise analysis after sampling for mold infestation testing.

Testing heavy metal exposure with GSA measuring devices SG10-2A and PM4-2

GSA Measuring device SG10-2A

GSA measuring devices SG10-2A and PM4-2 determine the heavy metal load

If there is a risk of heavy metal exposure at the workplace, it often makes sense to test for heavy metal exposure. It is important to consider a few points in advance. Our GSA measuring devices SG10-2A or PM4-2, for example, are suitable for this purpose.

These devices can be used to measure the particle measurements of the dust fraction of A-dust and/or E-dust.

Measuring wood dust – minimizing health risks

Measure wood dust

Wood dust measurement for risk assessment at the workplace

Wood dust is classified as E-dust and poses a great risk of the particles settling in the lungs or affecting other parts of the body. For wood dust measurement and particle measurement of the dust fraction of E-dust, we recommend our measuring device SG10-2A for stationary measurement or the SG5100ex and SG5200 devices for personal measurement.

With regard to a wood dust explosion, we recommend our SG5100ex measuring device, as it has been specially developed for potentially explosive atmospheres.

Measuring diesel engine emissions with PM4-2 measuring device

Measuring diesel engine emissions

Measuring diesel engine emissions with PM4-2 measuring device

Diesel engine emissions (DEE) can be determined with our PM4-2 measuring device. To measure diesel engine emissions, it generates a constant air volume flow. Furthermore, fluctuations in the air during sampling of diesel engine emissions can be compensated for by pressure and temperature compensation. This means that precise measurements of diesel engine emissions can be carried out despite fluctuating weather conditions and temperatures.

Measuring of harmful substances -suspected kindergarten

Pollutant measurement kindergarten

Measuring and analyzing harmful substances via the GSA Messgerätebau GmbH

It is often necessary to measure harmful substances in kindergartens.

In this case GSA Messgerätebau is the right contact, as we have more than 20 years of experience in the measurement and assessment of harmful substances in kindergartens and other public facilities.

If there is a suspicion of pollution in the kindergarten because an odor is perceived, symptoms of exposure to pollutants are increasing or other signs point to this (such as mold on the walls), a measurement should be considered.
