Measuring devices for sampling the dust fraction A-dust
As a partner in occupational health and safety, we offer measuring devices that are ideal for measuring the particle fraction A-dust. For example, the measuring device SG10-2 is a good choice for particle measurements of the dust fraction

GSA measuring devices PM4-2 for hazardous substance measurement
Our PM4-2 measuring device is designed for significantly larger sample volumes (46 l/min). For more information about our measuring devices, please contact us.
A typical place of use for our measuring devices can be a workplace at a filling plant or during ongoing production. Our PM4-2 measuring device is suitable for measuring the particle fraction A-dust in the room air or the ambient air at the workplace.
Hazardous substance measurement carried out – the further procedures for pollutant analysis
The Gesellschaft für Schadstoffanalytik offers an analysis option. The samples taken on site are analyzed for their components and their quantity is determined. The analysis report is handed over to the client. The effectiveness of the protective measures can be checked on the basis of the results.
There are various legal limit values for the individual pollutants that must be complied with. The measurement serves to check these limit values and provides information on compliance with them. If the check shows that the specified values cannot be adhered to, the occupational health and safety concept must be revised. Existing measures must be intensified or new ones integrated.
What is the dust fraction A-dust?
Dust refers to very small solid particles that are finely distributed in the air and are created by turbulence. A distinction is made between different subcategories based on size diameter, for example the dust fraction A-dust. This is so called because the dust is respirable. This means that the dust particles penetrate into the alveoli (air sacs in the lungs) and can cause severe irritation.
Why is hazardous substance measurement carried out?
The prevention of pollutants at the workplace is important for the health of the employee and is the duty of the employer. In order to ensure this, it is necessary to check the environment at the workplace by means of hazardous substance measurement. The respective employers’ liability insurance association and the DGUV (Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (DGUV) regularly compile protective measures and prevention options and provide information on corresponding risks. They also check the occupational safety measures on site. The dust measurements can be used to optimize the protective measures.
